Terms & Conditions
PISLER FURNITURE RENTAL GMBH
Here are our general conditions for renting and buying furniture and for services that involve furnishing an apartment, house, office or any venue in Switzerland.
1. Rental Agreement
By using our furniture rental service, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. This agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you and the lessor, Pisler Furniture Rental GmbH.
2. Rental Period
The rental period begins on the date the furniture is delivered to your specified location and ends on the date it is picked up for return, unless a minimum rental period is specified in writing on the contract. After the agreed rental period, the contract is automatically extended unless it is cancelled in writing at least 10 business days in advance.
3. Payment
Rental fees must be paid according to the agreed-upon payment schedule:
- For long-term rental: monthly or quarterly upon invoices. We advise you to set up a standing order for the monthly rental fee, as payments are expected by the 1st day of every month at the latest.
- For short-term rental: we issue invoices with specified payment terms.
- We charge CHF 20 for payment reminders.
- Additional charges may apply for late payments or damages to the rented furniture.
4. Cancellation
Cancellation requests must be made in writing and may be subject to cancellation fees. The rental contract can be terminated free of charge after the end of the agreed rental period, with a notice of 10 working days to the end of each month. If rental interest is not paid, the lessor has the right to terminate the rental agreement with the same notice period, or at any time with a notice of 10 working days, whereby the termination must be notified in writing. The lessee must grant the lessor access to the premises to retrieve the items, otherwise they will be liable for damages. Should the contract be terminated before the minimum rental period, the lessor can claim the applicable balance.
5. Delivery and Pick-up
We will deliver the rented furniture in a usable and clean condition to your specified location at the agreed-upon time. You must ensure that someone is present to accept the delivery. Pick-up will be scheduled at the end of the rental period, and you must ensure that the furniture is accessible for collection.
6. Quality Standard
The lessor is obliged to deliver the items that both parties agreed on, based on the furniture list and pictures presentation when applicable. The lessor cannot be held accountable for slight deviations in terms of colour or texture compared to the pictures shared, if not obvious. Should the customer not be satisfied with the standard provided due to a lack of comfort that has influence on the quality of living, the lessor is prepared to find a suitable alternative within a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable charge.
7. Use of Furniture
The rented furniture must be used for its intended purpose and in a reasonable manner. You are responsible for any damages caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorized alterations to the furniture.
8. Care and Maintenance
You agree to take reasonable care of the rented furniture during the rental period, including regular cleaning and maintenance to keep the furniture in good condition. Defects must be reported by the lessee immediately in writing to the lessor.
9. Return of Rented Items
The rented items must be returned in good and clean condition, considering the contractually stipulated natural wear and tear as well as the condition of the items at the beginning of the contract.
10. Liability for Damages
The customer and the tenant are liable for all damage caused by them to the rented items. The lessee is obliged to hold private liability insurance for the duration of the lease, which covers damage to rented property.
11. Insurance Against Elementary Damage and Theft
Pisler Furniture Rental GmbH takes out insurance that protects the rented items during transport to and from the place of residence. Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the rented furniture in the event of damage or loss caused by our negligence. The tenant shall take out liability insurance during the rental period against damages and/or theft.
12. Security Deposit
The lessor is entitled to demand a deposit from the tenant as security for claims of any kind. The lessor may request: a copy of the lease contract, ID card or debt collection register.
13. Changes to the Rental Property
Renewals and changes to the rented items require written permission from the lessor.
14. Withdrawal from the Contract
In the event of withdrawal from the contract 7 days before the agreed delivery date, a monthly rental interest will be charged.
15. Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute arising from this agreement will be resolved through arbitration in Zรผrich, Switzerland.
